The word “Parent” means many things.

For the Nebraska PIRC, the word parent means any adult who is responsible for caring for a child or youth.

Welcome to Nebraska PIRC!

Children learn best when families and schools partner together to encourage and support their learning.

It's a fact - connecting parents and schools is an effective way to help kids do better in the classroom and learn skills for lifelong success. That's why the Nebraska Parental Information and Resource Center (PIRC) project works in schools and communities across the state to make sure that families and educators have the tools they need to build strong and productive partnerships.

This web site contains a wide range of tools and information to help parents, family members, teachers and school administrators work together so that kids of all ages will get the most out of their learning experiences in and out of the classroom.

Better yet, we'll keep adding new resources and up-to-date news on special events and activities in communities throughout Nebraska, so come back often and look around. There's always something new to explore!
